Our Story
Connect Alloa officially became a charity on 6th February 2019 and we’ve been working hard to support young people ever since.
We wanted to create a youth space that would not only support local young people, but enable them to become more involved and active within the wider Clackmannanshire community.
We initially partnered with St Mungo’s Parish Church to establish regular youth nights and create a safe space for young people to socialise. In 2023 we’ve moved into our own unit, where we continue to offer a variety of activities, including games, creative tasks and fundraising challenges. We are always open to new ideas, so feel free to get in touch with your suggestions.
Throughout the pandemic, we continued to support our young people by providing online sessions. Using multiplayer games and platforms, we were able to host digital youth nights and stay connected as a group. Now, we have transitioned to running in-person sessions, allowing us to focus on creating engaging, interactive experiences for young people in a shared space.
Currently we host regular sessions every week on
Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays. For the Younger Group (3:30pm-5:30pm) and the Older Group (6:30pm-8:30pm).
Our Younger Group is for P4 to P7s aged young people and our Older Group is for S1 to S6.
